A UCALP project may address coffee chemistry, water measurement, sensory analysis, agriculture, equipment, language, culture, history, economics, or community knowledge. The opportunity explains the method, supervision, documentation, feedback, and expected contribution.

UCALP projects may take place through Untold Coffee, BRU, universities, companies, farms, laboratories, local entities, or partner organisations. Each opportunity identifies its host, location or working format, and participation route.

Every UCALP project is designed to leave something useful behind. Possible outputs include experiments, analyses, articles, Dictionary entries, translations, field documentation, technical guides, workshops, teaching materials, datasets, prototypes, or cultural interpretations. Attribution, consent, and review are required before any result becomes public.
Context before curriculum
UCALP’s work is rooted in Syria and shaped by its languages, communities, and lived knowledge. In each new place, it begins by listening to people who know the context firsthand, then develops projects with them around local questions, conditions, and capacities.
