Impact Approach & Method

The standards Untold Coffee intends to use when evaluating and communicating outcomes and impact.

Baseline pending

No public SROI ratio or approved financial proxies exist.

Purpose

This foundation defines how Untold Coffee will distinguish activity, outcome, and impact before public figures are issued. Social Return on Investment is one possible method within that wider accountability system; it is not the system itself.

Evidence sequence

Public evaluation begins with affected stakeholders, a defined program and period, an agreed baseline, consent-aware data collection, reviewable evidence, and follow-up. It must record positive, negative, and unintended outcomes.

Adjustment and attribution

Any later valuation must consider what would have happened anyway, the contribution of other people or organizations, displacement, duration, drop-off, and uncertainty. BRU or Clario contributions to a UCALP project must not be counted again as separate impact.

Publication boundary

No participant-level personal data, unsupported monetary proxy, ecosystem-wide ratio, or externally verified label may be published from this foundation. Indicative or assured SROI requires explicit source data, sensitivity analysis, approved methodology, and an appropriate independent assurance decision.

Current limitation

No baseline, outcome evaluation, follow-up dataset, financial proxy, or public impact report is currently published here. Any future claim will appear only with the evidence and limitations needed to understand it.

How SROI is calculated

Valuation does not precede evidence.

Adjusted outcome value

Quantity × financial proxy × adjustments for deadweight, attribution, displacement, duration, and drop-off

SROI ratio

Present value of adjusted social outcomes ÷ total investment
