Overview

Explore BRU

The following sections explain what this platform provides, what remains outside its responsibility, and the relevant next step.

01

Preparation is grounded in professional practice.

BRU develops recipes, calibrates preparation, evaluates extraction and water, maintains workflows and equipment, and develops its staff. Defined evaluations or comparisons are identified separately; they are not part of every drink or customer interaction.

  • Preparation, calibration, water, and extraction
  • Workflow, equipment, and operational practice
  • Dedicated professional sessions and structured applied projects

02

The customer experience stays clear and welcoming.

Visitors can order carefully prepared drinks, ask about selected coffee lots and preparation, and choose how much guidance they want. Customers remain customers; ordinary service is not research, testing, or an applied-learning activity.

  • Professional preparation and consistent service
  • Clear information about coffee lots and preparation
  • Customers are not research or programme participants

Dedicated applied work

Hosted applied work is identified before it begins.

BRU may host a defined professional evaluation or a selected UCALP or partner activity. The purpose, people, method, and conditions are stated separately from normal service and commerce.

Customers using ordinary BRU service are not research participants. Any testing or applied work requires its own method, boundaries, and consent process.
  1. 01Define: the applied question, method, people, and boundary are identified.
  2. 02Separate: the activity is distinguished from ordinary service and commerce.
  3. 03Apply: the defined subject is examined in an appropriate professional setting.
  4. 04Review: observations are assessed with the relevant evidence and consent conditions.
  5. 05Return: approved learning may inform practice or become a public resource.

How learning remains reciprocal

  • Ordinary customer service is not research or experimentation
  • Customers are not treated as participants without a distinct informed process
  • UCALP and partner activities remain clearly identified
  • Methods, consent, attribution, and publication boundaries are documented
