BRU · Preparation

Preparation depends on more than a recipe.

BRU brings recipes, calibration, water, extraction, workflow, equipment, and staff judgement together in daily specialty coffee service.

Calibration follows the coffee and the service context

A recipe records a current preparation decision. BRU calibrates that decision against the coffee, water, equipment, environment, and service conditions rather than treating a single set of numbers as universally correct.

The purpose is a coherent drink and a repeatable service process. When conditions change, the preparation may need to change with them.

Workflow and equipment shape consistency

Preparation also depends on how work moves through the station. Equipment condition, water delivery, task sequence, communication, and staff practice all affect whether a recipe can be carried out consistently.

BRU treats these elements as part of preparation itself, not as background details that sit outside the cup.

Professional evaluation remains clearly bounded

BRU may host a defined comparison, equipment evaluation, or applied session when the purpose and conditions are stated in advance. That activity remains separate from normal service.

Ordering a drink, asking a question, or giving ordinary feedback does not turn a customer into a participant in research or an applied-learning project.
